At last, Tollywood hero and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan seems to have woken up from slumber and started making preparations for speeding up his political career.
According to sources close to him, Pawan is planning to test waters for his political power by independently contesting the forthcoming elections to Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.
He told his supporters to hold meeting in all the divisions of the GVMC and identify issues that could be highlighted in the campaign.
The leaders are understood to have highlighted issues like rampant corruption in the municipal administration and lack of developmental works in various parts of the city.
Pawan also formed committees of the party in all the divisions to identify potential candidates, besides strengthening the organisation at all levels.
The JSP cadre is learnt to have represented to the power star that the party should go it alone in the elections without having any tie-up with either the BJP or the TDP.
Well, Pawan made a similar effort before the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and declared that his party would contest the elections. But, he withdrew from the scene in the last moment.
Let us see whether Pawan would take a plunge into the electoral battle in Visakhpatnam or beat a retreat as he had done in the case of GHMC.
