A hardcore fan of popular actor and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan virtually blackmailed the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh on Monday by threatening to commit suicide because of crop failures.
Govinda Rajulu, a distressed farmer and a diehard fan of Pawan Kalyan belonging to Addakallu village of Kurnool district, created uproar by climbing the top of Chandrababu Naidu’s 100 ft cut-out in front of his camp office at Vijayawada and threatened to commit suicide.
In a note left behind before climbing the cut-out, he threatened to commit suicide stating that he is suffering with cancer, and also facing financial problems due to crop failure, and wanted that his family may be helped after his death. However, police came on the scene and persuaded him to get down, and saved his life.
