No Words, Action Needed, Mr KCR!

No Words, Action Needed, Mr KCR!

Former Congress MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao to put words into action on pre poll promise, lest his party would take up statewide agitation from July 20.

In an open letter to the Chief Minister, on the occasion of the government completing 45 days rule, the former MP said that the cabinet which would meet on Wednesday should come out with an action plan on the promises made by Telangana Rashtra Samithi during the election campaign.

Reminding the words of a renowned Telugu poet that “Stop empty promises, show in practice”, Prabhakar wanted Chandrasekhara Rao to keep promises rather than deceiving the people.

He demanded the Chief Minister to implement farm loan waiver immediately, so that the farmers would avail new loans, as promised during the poll campaign. Government should not change its stand day after day and delay the implementation, he said.

He demanded the government to provide job to kin of the Telangana martyrs and payment of Rs 10 lakh ex gratia.

Government should take a decision in the cabinet meet on lifting the cases being booked on the students, leaders and employees during the Telangana movement, he urged.
