When Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on 19-year old Pratyusha, who was tortured and ill-treated by her step-mother and father, in the hospital, he had promised to keep her in his house and treat her like his daughter Kavitha.
“You are no different from my daughter. As soon as you get discharged from the hospital, you can straightaway come to my house and stay with us. I will take care of all your needs and I will even find a groom for you when you grow up,” he said then.
Everybody thought Pratyusha would have a happy life as KCR’s daughter. She even told the High Court on Wednesday about KCR’s promise and the judge felt very happy.
The Chief Justice of High Court appreciated Telangana Chief Minister’s decision to take complete responsibility of the girl and he directed that Pratyusha, will hereafter be under the shelter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Following court directions, the officials took Pratyusha straightaway to KCR’s residence at Begumpet.
She spent the time happily with KCR and his family members and even had lunch with them, of course in the presence of media.
Later, the Chief Minister quietly told the officials to shift Pratyusha to the girls’ hostel at Keesara and see that she would get the best education.
He gave his telephone number to her and told her that she could call him up whenever she wanted. Pratyusha, who was hoping to stay at CM’s residence forever, had no option but to leave for the hostel!
