No Modi Survey, No First Rank To KCR!

No Modi Survey, No First Rank To KCR!

Didn't Prime Minister Narendra Modi commission any survey to assess the performance of the chief ministers of various states in the country? Is it not true that Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has stood no. 1 in the survey?

Well, that is what the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders say. According to them, Modi had not commissioned any survey, either privately or through government agencies, on the performances of the chief ministers.

“It is ridiculous that the Telangana government has got the No. 1 rank in the country. It should disclose from where it has got the report. We have made a complaint to the Prime Minister’s Office in this regard and the Information and Broadcasting department is conducting an inquiry,” BJP leaders said.

Sources say Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu also took up the matter with the officials at the Centre, seeking to know how AP was given the fifth rank or 13th rank as initially reported. However, the officials told him that there was no such survey done by the PMO or any other Central agency. And Naidu was happy with the response.

So far, it is not yet clear as to who had done the survey and who had published it in the name of the PMO. In any case, it is a setback to KCR!
