No Concern Over Capital, Farmers' Interests Are Important

YSCRP is not against any moves being made by the ruling TDP regarding the capital development said the party chief secretary Dharmana Prasada Rao.

Dharmana was in Guntur as a part of the committee which protects the rights of farmers and farm labours. Their comments would make no difference said Dharmana as the ruling TDP has already made its decision on the capital city.

However, a section has been writing reports stating that YSRCP was against capital development, which was not the case he clarified.

He also reminded that Jagan had supported the move to make Vijayawada the capital of the newly carved state. However, the party was committed to fight for the rights of the farmers whose lands will be taken as a part of land pooling and the rights of farm labourers, said Dharmana. For the same, the team would visit the villages in the zone, he said.
