No By-elections in Allagadda, Nandigama?

YSRCP and TDP have decided to give tickets to the kin of the deceased MLAs from Kurnool district’s Allagadda and Krishna district’s Nandigama.

Though Shobha Nagireddy died in an accident before the general elections, her name was retained in the ballet paper and she won with a huge majority in Allagadda. For a while, it was said that Vijayamma would be contesting from the constituency, but it is now being said that Shobha Nagireddy’s daughter might represent her mother instead.

Similarly, Nandigama TDP MLA Tangirala Prabhakar Rao died due to a heart attack after being elected an MLA. So, TDP is likely to give the seat to his daughter.

In the past, when Avanigadda MLA Ambati Brahmanayya died, the seat was given to his son in his honour. It is being said that the same would be done in the case of Allagadda and Nandigama.

It remains to be seen if YSRCP and TDP would repeat the pattern once again.
