The alleged attempt to murder Aurobindo Pharma head honcho, Nithyananda Reddy has sent shock waves among the elite of the city for the incident happened at a place which is frequented by many VIP’s and celebrities of the Telugu world.
Police are also investigating whether kidnapping could have been the motive.
Irrespective of the motive, it is the firearm used which is a serious cause of concern.
The AK 47 used luckily did no harm. If the attacker had the time or been compelled to use it in a more dastardly fashion, there is no doubt that the barrage from the AK47 would have surely taken the lives of any other innocent bystanders.
The CP of Police said that the AK 47 belonged to a Commando of ‘Greyhounds’, the elite anti-Maoist force, and has been reported missing since January this year.
So, are Naxals involved in this incident or is it a former Naxal? The motive is still unclear! But the incident has shaken the city badly.
