When Chandrababu Naidu said that AP is a 'sunrise' state, people clapped their hands in glee thinking that Naidu was talking about the development about to be ushered in.
However, they might have got him wrong. He may well have been referring to son-rise or rather, the growing ascendancy of his son, Nara Lokesh in the Party and politics.
An article carried in leading English daily reported that Lokesh was now the second most important man in the TDP and a key operator behind the scenes.
Lokesh plays an important role in the appointment of officers in key areas, State schemes and selecting Party leaders and workers for nominated posts.
Strengthening the Party in Telangana is now said to be Lokesh’s chief priority.
You got to hand it to Chandrababu! He has successfully managed to sideline Junior NTR and make his son the undisputed crown prince of the TDP.
