Naidu To Rename YSR Scheme

Whenever a new government comes, it has become a habit for the rulers to change the names of the old schemes and pose as if they are introducing new schemes.

Take for example, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao chose to rename the fee reimbursement scheme as “Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana.” However, he is trying to give an impression that he has dropped the old scheme and introduce a new scheme for Telangana students.

So is the case with his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu. He is now trying to remodel the Arogyasri, the pet scheme of former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy which brought light in the lives of millions of people.

Now, the TDP president is planning to rename the scheme as “NTR Health Cards” by making some changes. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Sunday said radical changes would be made in the Arogyasri scheme, which would be renamed as NTR Health Cards.
