Naidu Still Has Contempt For YSR!

'Poyinollu andaroo manchollu' (All those who departed this world are good souls) – says a popular Telugu film song.

Many political leaders died in the course of time, but even their bitter political rivals do not show any contempt against them after their death.

But, it looks like Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister continues to nurture hatred towards his political rival in the past late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

It’s nearly six years since YSR died in a tragic helicopter crash, but the TDP chief still has utter contempt against the former.

It was evident from the way Naidu government unceremoniously removed the portrait of YSR from the Assembly lounge on Monday.

The life size portrait was unveiled by former CM K Rosaiah, a few months after YSR’s death. Naturally, Naidu’s hateful decision triggered uproar among YSR fans.

Reacting strongly to the removal of YSR portrait without any reason, the YSR Congress Party MLAs and senior leaders declared that they would stage a protest dharna on Tuesday on the Assembly premises.

They said YSR was a mass leader and had earned a place in the hearts of the people with his welfare programmes.

“It is unfortunate that his photo was removed from the lounge without giving any notice to the party,” they said.

They demanded that since YSR served the State for more than six years as chief minister and earlier as a minister too and his photo should be restored back in the Assembly lounge.
