Naidu Shocked With Internal Survey Result!

The Telugu Desam Party is understood have to commissioned a survey as per the instructions of the Andhra Pradesh government on the probable outcome of the results, if mid-term elections are conducted in the state right now.

A questionnaire was prepared and given to a prominent agency to conduct the survey. But the survey results gave a rude shock to party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

According to the survey, if mid-term elections are held in the state, the TDP would not be able to get more than 51 seats in the 175-seat Assembly.

This has caused a storm in the party leadership, which is obviously very much worried. The survey indicated that the anti-incumbency feeling has already begun among the people and it might intensify in the coming days if Naidu continues with present style of functioning. And the party position might further worsen in the coming days.

Sources said following the survey, Naidu closeted with key party functionaries and discussed the strategies to overcome this anti-incumbency factor.

The survey has pointed out that people are not happy with the functioning of several MLAs, besides corruption among the ministers and witch-hunting of opposition parties. Even the party cadre is not happy with the leadership for not filling up the nominated posts.

The TDP president reportedly sought suggestions from senior leaders as to how pacify the cadre and how to retain the neutral vote bank which favoured the TDP in the last elections.

He wanted that the party seniors prepare a report on restoring the lost image of the party among the electorate.
