Naidu Puts Kapu Quota Issue On Backburner!

Naidu Puts Kapu Quota Issue On Backburner!

It looks like Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has conveniently pushed the Kapu reservations issue to the backburner, as there was no sound and fury from the Kapu community.

Occasionally, Naidu tries to pamper the Kapu community with one scheme or the other, but deliberately ignores the real demand of including the Kapus into the BC list.

With the so-called Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham remaining helpless without any support from any side for his agitational programmes, Naidu has been deliberately delaying the implementation of his own promise of providing reservations for Kapus.

On Sunday, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa, once again reiterated that the Kapus would be included in BCs within a period of six months.

He launched the Kapu Welfare.Com mobile app organised by Kapu Welfare Association in Rajahmundry.

He said it was no easy decision to include Kapus into BCs. The TDP government is trying hard to achieve the same which has not been possible in the last 30 years, he said.

Saying that TDP government was working towards achieving it, Chinarajappa informed that currently, the talks are on with the Central government to get approval and expressed confidence that it will be fulfilled in six months.
