Naidu Meeting KCR Was No Surprise?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu stuck to his word by going to the residence of his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao at Begumpet on Sunday evening, providing much needed fodder to media persons.

Though Naidu went to KCR to personally invite the latter to the foundation stone laying ceremony of Amaravati, the new capital of AP, what surprised everybody was the bonhomie between the two leaders.

According to reports, KCR extended warm welcome to Naidu as he got down from the vehicle, hugged him cordially and led him and his wife Bhuvaneshwari into the residence.

It was a very lively meeting and both the Chief Ministers behaved as if they are thickest friends without any animosity or bitter feeling, as was reflected in their hate speeches against each other till recently.

Naturally, this has surprised many political observers. However, sources said though Naidu was meeting KCR for the first time after several months, it was not the first time that they had talked to each other.

Following the intervention of the Centre, both KCR and Naidu had a telephonic chat in the recent past and had come to a compromise on cash-for-vote scam and also phone tapping issue. That is why, there is no progress on these cases, say sources.
