Naidu, KCR Had Secret Talks In Delhi?

Naidu, KCR Had Secret Talks In Delhi?

Last week, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao had been to New Delhi to attend the nomination event of NDA’s presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind.

While Naidu returned to Amaravati the following day, KCR is still taking rest in the national capital.

It is learnt both the chief ministers had used the opportunity to hold secret talks in Delhi for some time on some “personal issues.” Apparently, KCR sought the cooperation of Naidu to bring the Telangana Rashtra Samithi into the NDA so that he would have smooth sailing in the next elections.

At the same time, Naidu is said to have asked KCR to clear the cash-for-note case at the earliest, so that it would not become an issue in the next elections.

However, both Naidu and KCR also have some common issues to take up with the Centre. That is, increase in the number of assembly constituencies in the next couple of months, since it would help both the TRS and the TDP to a great extent in the next elections.

Both of them felt that if it does not happen now, it is difficult to get the number of assembly increased before the next elections. So, they took it up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested him to do the needful in the next Parliament session.

Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu assured the chief ministers that he would pursue the matter seriously.
