The BJP's statement that it cannot enforce section 8 in Hyderabad seems to have had a categorical impact on the TDP.
Chandrababu Naidu at a cabinet meeting once again stressed on the need for ministers and the government to work from Andhra Pradesh for at least three days a week.
When IT Minister Raghunath Reddy said that they had the right to Hyderabad for ten years, Chandrababu Naidu replied that the Center was not keen on intervening in the dispute. This is a clear indication that Naidu has in all likelihood given up on section 8.
The TRS will try to make life as difficult as possible for Chandrababu Naidu and his men in Hyderabad.
Section 8 would have come to their rescue but the BJP has now made that a non-issue. Hence, Naidu has no option but to focus on AP now.
While this will benefit the people of AP, it will affect Naidu’s plans for coming back to power in Telangana.
