Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been hoodwinking the Centre by producing fudged figures with regard to expenditure of funds released by the Centre for various works.
This was alleged by former MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vellampalli Srinivas, who resigned from the party and joined the YSR Congress party on Tuesday.
He said the Centre, who came to know about this fabrication of figures by Naidu government, has not been releasing funds to the state of late, he said.
Even with regard to the Polavaram project, the Centre has decided to release funds to the state only after inspecting the progress of works from time to time and submission of expenditure accounts.
“It’s a disgrace on the part of the Chief Minister and his image has gone down in the eyes of the Centre for cooked up accounts. This has an adverse effect on the economy. The State is not getting funds due to the financial indiscipline of State government,” Srinivas said.
