Naidu Claims Credit Even For Population Growth!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is not a very good orator compared to his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao. Compared to KCR, Naidu cannot speak good English, though somehow he manages.

Especially when he goes to Delhi, he has to manage with his broken English, because he cannot speak Hindi like other Chief Ministers of northern states, who can switch over to Hindi, when they are not comfortable in speaking English. Naidu does not have that advantage.

However, Naidu speaks very boldly at any conference and tries to put forth his point effectively even with his broken English. In the process, his sentences might convey different meanings and it is for the audiences to understand what he wants to convey to them.

The other day, when Naidu was speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in Delhi, Naidu made a strange statement.

Stating that he had developed Hyderabad and Cyberabad, Naidu also claimed that because of him, the population of Hyderabad went up from 35 lakh to 70 lakh.

“It was because of my efforts that the population of Hyderabad has gone up,” he said.

He went on to say that like in Hyderabad, he would also increase the population of Amaravati in the coming years three times.

One might wonder how Naidu would increase the population. But what he wanted to say was that he had developed Hyderabad and created employment opportunities in IT and other allied sectors and it resulted in rapid urbanisation and economic activity so that people came to Hyderabad in large numbers. He also vowed to replicate the situation in Amaravati. So, don’t mistake Naidu!
