Mudragada Has To Apply For Permission

The Telugu Desam Party government has made it clear to Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham that he cannot take out the proposed padayatra from Kirlampudi to Amaravati in the last week of July, unless he takes permission from the police.

Deputy chief minister and home minister N Chinna Rajappa said taking the police permission for the padayatra was necessary since it was the question of security and law and order and the government cannot keep silent if there was a violation of law and order.

“If Mudragada applies for permission, the police will consider it under certain conditions, since they have to provide protection to him,” the minister said.

As of now, Mudragada has not applied for any permission and he wants to take out the rally without it.

While he wants his padayatra to get the nation-wide attention if there was a confrontation with the police, the TDP government does not want to obstruct his padayatra this time, but see that it is a smooth affair.

Chinna Rajappa said there was no need for Mudragada to undertake the padayatra as Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had already begun working on the Kapu reservation.

Currently the process of forming a concrete solution for the inclusion of Kapus in BCs is in progress without causing any impact on the existing BCs, he said.
