Modi Prefers Ashok To Sujana?

The TDP is likely to get just one cabinet berth in the Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre, which is going to take charge on Monday.

Chandrababu Naidu, who flew into Delhi on Saturday night and held parleys with the BJP national president Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi on the seat sharing issue. After talking to Singh on his keenness to join the BJP Government at the Centre, Naidu called on Modi and given his wish list of ministers.

According to sources, Naidu suggested the names of senior TDP leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdary. However, Modi is understood to have preferred Ashok to Sujana Chowdary, as the former is an elected Lok Sabha member. Modi reportedly assured that he would consider a couple of more berths to the TDP in the next stage of cabinet expansion; and they would get posts of ministries of State.

From Telangana BJP, Bandaru Dathatreya will get a cabinet berth while M Venkaiah Naidu is all set to get a key portfolio from Seemandrha besides two others may get two minister of State berths.
