So the latest talk in Telugu Desam Party is that the leaders from West and East Godavari are surprised by this move of Babu.
However, those who know the background of Somu Veerraju, this has come as no surprise. He happens to hail from the Kapu community and is a senior member of his party. Also, Veerraju happens to be a close aide of Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu. And to top it all, he has very good ties with power star Pawan Kalyan.
It is widely believed that Veerraju was instrumental in fixing the meeting between national-level BJP leaders and Pawan Kalyan.
