Minister Narayana Threatens Yet Again

Minister Narayana warned farmers that they will stand to lose if they oppose land pooling in capital zone.

He said that if the government issues different statements at different times, it is going to adversely affect the land rates.

After the recent visits by YSRCP leader Jagan and Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan, buyers were being extra careful and this resulted in a sharp plunge in prices said Narayana. According to him, the rates came down by Rs 40 to Rs 50 lakhs per acre.

While it is interesting to note that the Minister saw Jagan's visit as the reason behind fall in prices, it was obvious that he was issuing a soft threat of sorts by saying that land pooling and land rates were inter-linked.

He also asked the farmers to come forward voluntarily and give up their lands.
