YSR Congress party on Monday came out with yet another missile to attack Telugu Desam Party general secretary Nara Lokesh Babu, alleging that the latter was trying to grab precious land worth Rs 1500 crore in the heart of Visakhapatnam.
According to YSRC leader Gudivada Amarnath, some benamis of Lokesh had encroached upon government land at Daspalla hills in Visakhapatnam.
"Some vested interests have grabbed government land worth Rs 1,500 crore in heart of Visakhapatnam city and when questioned TDP leaders have been telling that it is private land which is not the case," he said.
He pointed out that any land on a hillock would belong to the government and the TDP government has been methodically allowing its favoured people to take over the land.
“Shadow Chief Minister Lokesh has been land hungry and every measure has been taken up to suit his needs with land grabbing and corruption on the rise,” he said.
Amarnath said the Chandrababu Naidu government has been adopting anti-people policies and has been encouraging land grabbing in a big way.
“But we will fight it out and ensure that the government land does not slip into private hands,” he said.
