All Seemandhra students who are born and brought up in Telangana and studied in Telangana would be treated as local students in Andhra Pradesh, if they shift to their state before June 2, 2017.
President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday signed the file pertaining to conferring of local status to children of AP employees, ending two years of uncertainty. They would be treated as locals in AP, if the employees move to AP before June 2, 2017.
The Centre has issued a Gazette notification stating that local status will be conferred to children of AP employees, who relocate to residual of AP within three years from bifurcation date.
According to the latest Gazette notification, those who relocate to Andhra Pradesh before 2 June 2017 will be identified as locals by the state government.
Previously in 1975, President issued an order facilitating equal opportunities for people from different regions in united AP through 32nd constitutional amendment. For this, Article 371-D and 371-E have been added.
This President notification is applicable for both the states as per Section 97 in AP Organization Act.
