Lagadapati Defends Pepper Spray Use!

Belligerent MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal has defended usage of pepper spray on the fellow MPs during the ruckus in Lok Sabha over Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill.

Rajagopal told media later in the evening that he had carried pepper spray only to defend himself in the House.

“The Congress MPs from other States were assaulting a TDP MP from Seemandhra. Then, they came towards me and tried to manhandle me and I had to use pepper spray to defend myself,” he argued.

Interestingly, Rajagopal’s colleague Vundavalli Arun Kumar said he had no idea as to how pepper spray bottle came into the hands of Lagadapati.

He alleged that the Telangana MPs had physically assaulted Seemandhra MPs, who were protesting peacefully in the well of the House.

One fails to understand why Lagadapati had to carry pepper spray into the House.

Obviously, he came well prepared to stall the introduction of Telangana bill at any cost. In any way, the MPs brought disgrace to the democracy.
