KVP Remembers His Soul Mate YSR After Long Time!

Rajya Sabha Member and senior Congress leader KVP Ramachandra Rao, who was the bosom friend of late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Redddy, who used to treat the former as his "soul mate," has found an occasion to remember the departed friend after a long time.

On Wednesday, KVP wrote a letter to AP Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao and sought the reinstallation of the photo of YSR in the Assembly lounge that was removed recently.

He said YSR had strived for the welfare of the poor beyond any political considerations. There might be leaders who had differed with him on political lines, but when it came to welfare programme they all agreed that he had taken up the programmes without any bias.

Andhra Pradesh stood on top in the country in poverty alleviation during YSR regime, he said.

"As a Speaker it is your bounden duty to uphold the honour of the House and thus initiate immediate steps to reinstall the photo,” he said and pointed out that nothing will be done on the Assembly precincts without the knowledge of the presiding officer.

Also, if the successive political parties continue the practice of removing the photos of the leaders of the preceding regimes then there will be no photo left to be seen, KVP stated.
