KVP Bill Not In The Near Future!

KVP Bill Not In The Near Future!

The much-hyped private member bill of Congress MP K V P Ramachandra Rao seeking special category status for Andhra Pradesh is unlikely to come up in Parliament in the near future.

This was indicated by Rajya Sabha chairman P J Kurien on the floor of the Upper House on Monday. He said he could not include it in the agenda for the next Friday and he would examine the possibility for the subsequent Friday. But going by the busy schedule of Rajya Sabha, the private bill may not see the light of the day, say sources.

Surprisingly, Telugu Desam Party has given the notice for a discussion on special category status to AP in Lok Sabha. The notice was given by Srikakulam MP K Rammohan Naidu. This is said to be a counter to the Congress strategy and gain the political mileage.

Let us see who will gain the upper hand.
