KCR Woos MLAs With Rs 1.50 Cr Funds!

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday sought to woo the MLAs with constituency development funds, obviously to have a smooth sailing during the forthcoming budget session.

The Chief Minister, who held a meeting with party MLAs, is learnt to have promised to release Rs 1.50 crore for each constituency for development and look into the demand of using solar power for agriculture pump sets.

He asked the party MLAs, MPs and MLCs to take on the Opposition parties if they try to corner the ruling party during the ensuing budget session.

The meeting assumes significance as it helps prepare the leaders for the budget session.

KCR is said to have sought their segment-wise developmental works and the funds needed.

As the first budget session is likely to begin from November 5 and may continue for about 10 days, the CM asked them to give correct details and get allocation of funds, according to sources.

The key issues that were discussed upon include power crisis, Telangana Water Grid, Lakes restoration, Haritaharam, farmers’ suicides, agriculture sector fresh loans, 25 per cent waiver of farm loans and pensions and various other welfare schemes of the TRS.

It is reliably learnt that the CM has revealed his mind that the poll promises are being given top priority in the budget.
