KCR Washes Off Hands On Land Deals!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is trying to wash off his hands on the allegations of irregularities in various land deals in and around Hyderabad, saying they had taken place during the previous regimes.

KCR told the Assembly on Thursday that the TRS Government was in no way concerned with the alleged irregularities in land allocations during the previous regimes.

Amid protests and interruptions by the Congress and TTDP members, KCR said all the land deals were done during previous Congress and Telugu Desam regimes and the allegations are aimed at tarnishing the image of TRS Government.

He said My Home Group, DLF and many other companies purchased land through open global tenders called by previous government. Then industries minister J Geetha Reddy had endorsed the file at the behest of then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah came into the scene to construct a Gaming City in the land given to Rameshwar Rao.

Though the TDP, along with Congress and TRS protested against the Gaming City plan, the TDP was now trying to malign the TRS Government, which is not correct, KCR said.

Stating that some members even blackmailed Rameswara Rao for money, KCR warned of serious action as he would be compelled to start ‘Operation Blue Star”.
