We all know about KCR's fondness for yagams and astrology. Even during Telangana statehood agitation, KCR performed several yagams seeking the lessings of gods in achieving Telangana State.
At that time, he used to perform yagams in A Jithender Reddy's farmhouse on city outskirts, who is now the TRS MP from Mahabubnagar district.
On Monday evening, KCR rushed to New Delhi to meet President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to invite them to take part in "Aayatha Maha Chandi Yagam" to be held by him from December 26 at his own farm house in Erravelli.
This yagam assumes more significance since this is the first yagam conducted by KCR after achieving Telangana State and becoming first chief minister for Telangana State.
Though KCR has been trying to bring in Modi to TS ever since he assumed office in June 2014, all his efforts proved futile.
He invited Modi to launch Telangana government administration in June 2014, later for Godavari Pushkaralu, launch of Water Grid Pylon etc but all were turned down by Modi. On the other hand, Modi visited AP twice causing more embarrassment to KCR.
KCR is hopeful that Modi would accept his invitation this time and attend Chandi Yagam and thereby his aim of bringing Modi to TS for first time would also be realised.
