Everyone knows KCR is a shrewd politician. He goes to any extent to get his work done. Be it during Telangana statehood agitation or dumping TRS merger with Congress just before 2014 Assembly elections after achieving his goal of separate Telangana State or in becoming CM of Telangana against his promise of making Dalit the first CM...KCR had displayed his political skills before the world.
Now, with GHMC elections in January 2016, KCR has set his eyes on Seemandhra voters, who constitute a majority in GHMC limits. KCR knows very well that without Seemandhra voters, it's impossible to win for TRS in GHMC elections.
KCR devised a plan to attract Seemandhra voters towards TRS. He gave the task of mobilising Seemandhra voters support to TRS to his minister and Khammam leader Tummala Nageshwar Rao.
Having worked in TDP for decades in various positions and hailing from Khammam, Tummala enjoys good rapport with Seemandhra community in GHMC limits.
For this reason, KCR is said to have decided to appoint Tummala as incharge for wards in GHMC elections, where Seemandhra voters are more in numbers like Kukatpally, Ameerpet, Sherilingampally, Qutbullapur etc.
Tummala was asked to meet and interact with local Seemandhra people who enjoy clout in residential colonies in Seemandhra dominated areas and convince them to vote for TRS and promise them that TRS would protect their rights in GHMC limits.
