KCR on Operation MIM appeasement

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday accused Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao of going out of the way to appease the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

Speaking after releasing a CD "CM KCR - Double Speak: Operation MIM Appeasement" at the State BJP office here, Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did not celebrate the Hyderabad Liberation Day at the official level only to please the MIM.

He also shared the video clips of KCR's speech delivered on August 23, 2010, wherein he objected to the non-celebration of Liberation Day at the officials.

He even exhorted the Congress MLAs from Telangana region to pressurise the then Chief Minister K Rosaiah for the official celebrations. He asked as to why KCR has changed his stand on the issue.

Kishan Reddy alleged that as part of "Operation MIM Appeasement", KCR was providing unconstitutional reservations to Muslims, extravagance to Sania Mirza only, named the Metro Rail mascot as NIZ, making attempts to change the KBR Park name after Nizam and undermined the historic day of September 17.

He contended that September 17 was the "real Independence Day" for Telangana wherein people were liberated from the "oppressive" Nizam's rule and Razakars' atrocities.

He also described Nizam as a foreign ruler. However, he claimed that people of all religions fought for independence.
