Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are terribly upset with their party leadership for entertaining Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekha Rao, who has become the new-found love for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After Modi invited KCR to New Delhi for talks recently on demonetisation and praised his suggestions, the Telangana BJP leaders are not able to make a single statement against the KCR government.
Earlier, they used to attack the TRS aggressively and every day, there used to be statements from the BJP leaders against KCR and his government.
Needless to say, they were of the view that the BJP stands a better chance to emerge as an alternative to the TRS in the next elections.
However, they seem to have got the message from New Delhi that they should stop target KCR hereafter, as there is a possibility of KCR joining hands with the NDA in the coming days. This has virtually stitched the mouths of the BJP leaders.
And when everybody was attacking KCR for the construction of new residence by spending more than Rs 50 crore, there was not a single statement from the BJP leaders. They did not even make a single comment on the completion of half the term of the TRS government.
Naturally, the BJP leaders are not happy with the central leadership for not allowing to take the political advantage of the negative factors against KCR.
“It would have been better if the BJP comes out openly and extend invitation to the TRS. Otherwise, it will send wrong signals among the people, if we keep silent on the KCR government,” a BJP leader said.
