KCR Keeps Congress On Tenterhooks

The mercurial Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao has come out with another tantalizing statement on the issue of his party's merger with the ruling Congress.

He said that merging a party with another party is not an easy task. he was addressing the party cadres during his visit to Siddipet in Medak district.

In another interesting remark, he said, “had the Congress agreed for merger when TRS made an offer earlier, the lives of 400 people could have been saved.”

KCR, who is known for hard bargaining, sounded a warning when he said “If Telangana with no riders is made a reality, then we will re-think of merger.”

The TRS chief said that nothing short of Telangana state with 10 districts including Hyderabad is acceptable to the people of Telangana.

KCR lambasted the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu for not sending the reply to Union Home Ministry on the terms of reference of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana. He said the true colors of Naidu have been exposed now.

The Pink Panther is also not ready to give the credit to the Congress for realization of the Telangana statehood dream.

According to him, the Congress had no option but concede Telangana after a 1,000 people committed suicide and he put the blame squarely on Congress itself for it.

It is said that KCR is bargaining very hard with the Congress central leadership for a fabulous deal for him and his family members in the event of the merger.
