KCR Has Time For Shopping, Not For Rohit!

KCR Has Time For Shopping, Not For Rohit!

It has been four days since the sensational suicide of Rohit Vemula, a Dalit research scholar at University of Hyderabad, has rocked the entire nation.

Almost all political leaders from all corners of the country descended on the university to express solidarity with agitating students and condolences to the bereaved family of Rohit.

But, alas, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has not uttered a single word, leave alone going to the campus to get the first hand information, though he is very much in Hyderabad.

On the day one, his daughter Kavitha and her Telangana Jagruthi members created some scene at the residence of Bandaru Dattatreya. Later, she also remained silent.

Apparently, there were instructions from her father to keep quiet, because it would unnecessarily complicate the TRS prospects in the GHMC elections.

Moreover, Kavitha has to play a key role in the electioneering. Secondly, Rohit belongs to Guntur and hence, there was no need for the TRS to make a big issue of it, he is learnt to have told Kavitha.

“The Chief Minister had time to buy clothes by visiting shops for hours at Hyderguda, but had no time to visit the University which was in “flames” in the State capital following the suicide of research scholar Rohit Vemula,” Congress leaders alleged.
