Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao left for Singapore on Tuesday night with a hope to market his State in that country to bring in more investments.
KCR has never visited any foreign country in his life. In fact, he did not have a passport till he become the Chief Minister. He got his passport only a week ago.
KCR expressed confidence of mobilising investment for the Telangana State during his visit to Singapore.
Replying to a query from media on his first ever foreign trip in his life, KCR said he would be marketing Telangana in Singapore, where he would be attending the conference of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Alumni Association.
He will be accompanied by Finance Minister Etela Rajender and other senior officials. He said that Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and other dignitaries were also attending the conference scheduled to be held on August 22 and 23.
