KCR Further Woos Muslims With Ex-Gratia

It looks like Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is going to woo Muslims in Hyderabad obviously with an eye on forthcoming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Even as the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders are questioning KCR’s intentions behind naming Sania Mirza as the Telangana brand ambassador, the Chie Minister is learnt to have accepted the recommendations made by State Minorities Commission on providing relief to the families of those killed due to police firing during communal riots in Kishan Bagh recently.

The Commission has recommended a government job and house site among other things for the families of those killed due to police firing.

It has also asked for Rs 2 lakh compensation for the injured persons. The State Government has reportedly approved the recommendations and informed the commission about the same.

Meanwhile, Commission chairman Abid Rasool Khan has informed that a Commission is being appointed to study the report submited by Cyberabad Police on the Kishanbagh violence.
