KCR diverting Central funds?

KCR diverting Central funds?

There is a saying in Telugu: “Athha Sommu Alludu Daanam Chesinattu..” (son-in-law donating mother-in-law’s money). Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao seems to be doing exactly the same.

The Telangana TDP leaders are planning to hold a `Delhi Yatra’ on February 7, 8 and 9 to complain against the TRS government for alleged diversion of central funds for other programmes.

According to TDP legislator A Revanth Reddy, the Telangana government has diverted the Central funds sanctioned to the state towards input subsidy for farmers and other programmes.

The TDP leaders would meet the Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh and submit a memorandum detailing how the Telangana government ‘diverted’ the central funds sanctioned to the state towards input subsidy for farmers.

They are also planning to submit another memorandum to Union urban development minister M.Venkaiah Naidu explaining him about the KCR government’s failure in spending the funds released to the state under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the construction of one lakh houses for weaker sections of society.

Later, they have decided to lodge a complaint with the Union minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot about the diversion of funds released by the Centre under SC/ST sub-plan for other programmes.

The TDP team is also planning to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and present him a report on how the state government is forcibly taking lands from farmers by bringing in a new Land Act.
