Kavita Bans ABN And Andhra Jyothi From Jagruthi Meetings!

Nizamabad MP and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter K Kavita imposed ban on ABN news channel and Andhra Jyothi newspaper from attending the press meets and events to be conducted by her organisation Telangana Jagruthi in future.

Kavitha announced this decision on Friday in retaliation for the negative reports being published and aired by channel and daily owned by Vemuri Radhakrishna against Telangana government, KCR and his family members.

Kavitha lashed out at Andhya Jyothi and ABN and termed Andhra Jyothi as "Abaddhala Jyothi" (flame of lies) saying that the newspaper has been resorting to malicious campaign against Telangana government, KCR and his family members.

The newspaper which reported about wrong affidavits submitted by KCR to Election Commission on his poll expenses during 2014 elections on Thursday, published a report on Kavita stating that she too resorted to manipulation of poll expenditure statement submitted to EC in 2014.

The daily claimed the EC had served a notice on Kavitha seeking explanation on her poll expenditure.

Responding to this, Kavitha said, "I didn't receive any notice from EC. May be EC had issued that notice and sent to Andhra Jyothi address."

TRS government and Vemuri Radhakrishna are at loggerheads ever since ABN was banned in Telangana for nearly 17 months soon after coming to power in June 2014. However, the channel was restored recently following Supreme Court directions.
