Chennai: DMK supreme M Karunadhi’s daughter Kanimozhi was admitted to hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Immediately after the news of her hospitalization broke out, rumours were rife all over Tamil Nadu that she has been keeping unwell and that she attempted suicide.
The DMK however has condemned these rumours calling them false.
The party leaders have said that Kanimozhi was exhausted as she was involved in party work for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, Karunanidhi visited his daughter at the hospital.
It is a known fact that the two brothers from DMK, Karunanidhi and Alagiri haven’t been getting along for some time now.
Efforts are going on to bring about truce between both the parties. However, there are many versions making rounds and the latest incident of Kanimozhi being admitted to the hospital has sparked many rumours.
News is that Kanimozhi fainted due to stress and her body was discovered by visitors who had gone to invite her for lunch and she was rushed to a private hospital in Alwarpet.
Immediately, after receiving the news, Karunanidhi visited his daughter and announced that Kanimozhi’s condition was stable and that there was no cause for worry.
Another story doing rounds is that when Kanimozhi tried to broker peace between her father and her uncle, it led to a showdown with her father. It is being said that following the incident, Kanimozhi consumed sleeping pills after her morning breakfast.
Presently, her condition is said to be stable and she would be soon discharged from the hospital.
