Jayasudha Blames Cong Leaders For Defeat

Former Congress MLA from Secunderabad and noted Telugu Actress Jayasudha on Sunday alleged that she failed to retain her Assembly seat in the recently held general elections due to internal squabbles in the party.

She told media that infighting among the leaders led to her defeat in the election. The actress-turned-politician attributed her defeat in the elections to the continuing infighting in the Congress.

“There shall not be discontent among the leaders and activists should be taken along in the party activities”, she said.

The former MLA also lamented that true party activists were not getting due recognition in the party.

She expressed anguish on the leadership for biting the dust in the general elections. She also opined as there was no coordination among the leaders and grass-root level party men, the party faced defeat at the hustings.

Jayasudha stressed the need for strengthening the Youth Congress. However, she felt that there is need for conducting elections for Youth Congress now.
