Jagan To Sound War Bugle From Amaravati!

With just less than two years left for the state assembly elections, the opposition YSR Congress party has decided to start preparations for the war from the same place, which ruling Telugu Desam Party has taken up as a prestigious issue – Amaravati.

The party is planning to hold the plenary in an unprecedented manner at Amaravati on July 8 and 9 to finalise the war strategies.

The venue to discuss and adopt political resolutions besides election of the party president. The ground in front of Acharya Nagarjuna University has been chosen for the plenary and all necessary permissions have been obtained.

Party MLC and senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said a three-tier plenary sessions would be held to record the voice and concerns of people from grassroots which will be reflected in the plenary resolutions.

The plenary would discuss the political situation, plight of farmers, weavers, women and other sections and the impact of the failure of state governments to honour election promises.

About 30,000 representatives from village, mandal and district level will take part in the two day plenary and 18 committees have been formed to oversee the arrangement and smooth conduct of the event, he said.

Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will give the inaugural address which will give a direction to the party cadre and the future plan of action in wake of the failure of TDP government on many fronts.
