More than anybody else, it was media baron and Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao who was flooded with congratulatory messages for getting the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award from the Indian government.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who treats Ramoji Rao as his political guru, congratulated the media baron and said Ramoji Rao had created history in newspaper industry and electronic media.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also congratulated Ramoji Rao for his selection who immensely contributed in the journalism. He said it was s apt to give Padma Vibhushan award to Ramoji Rao from the Centre for his outstanding contribution to journalism.
The surprising message came from YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who had till recently treated Ramoji Rao as his enemy. He congratulated Ramoji for getting the award as recognition to the Telugu journalism.
