YS Jagan is making it a point to tell the audience at his meetings everywhere that Naidu will be out of power in three years and he (YS Jagan) will take over as CM.
Jagan made no bones of the fact either that astrology was the basis of his confidence.
The opposition has been quick to lambast Jagan for his remarks with Devineni Uma saying, “How can Jagan make such a statement? We are a democratically elected government. So on what basis is Jagan saying that he will come to power in three years? (Astrology, Mr. Uma!) There seems to be a conspiracy in the making and Jagan should come clean.”
Now any normal person would not even bother to respond to allegations or statements based on astrology, vaastu or superstition. But unfortunately, Naidu, KCR and all other politicians including Jagan are the primary patrons of these crafts. Hence, they are rumored to be taking the statement of Jagan seriously and working their personal astrologers, overtime to correct any defects in the alignment of their stars.
On the other hand, this could be a psychological ploy employed by Jagan to make the opposition jittery.
With the numbers stacked against him, Jagan might have realized that this was a good way to give Naidu sleepless nights! And judging by the response of the TDP to his statement, for the moment it seems to be working!
