Jagan Creates Rift Between BJP, TDP!

Jagan Creates Rift Between BJP, TDP!

It looks like YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has virtually created a split in the alliance between Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The letter written by BJP leader and former union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, complaining against TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for inducting four YSR Congress party MLAs into his cabinet created strong resentment within the TDP.

As if adding fuel to fire, BJP floor leader in the assembly B Vishnukumar Raju also said if he were in the place of Chandrababu Naidu, he would have asked the four defected MLAs to resign from their posts before joining the cabinet.

It may be recalled that even Naidu’s close friend, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu also expressed more or less similar view. Several other BJP leaders are also expressing similar view in their private conversations.

Naturally, this has angered the TDP leaders. They wonder why the BJP leaders were reacting so wildly to the induction of defected MLAs in the cabinet because it made no difference for the alliance.

TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna shot back at Purandeshwari by writing a letter asking whether she had not defected to the BJP after enjoying prime positions in the Congress party for over a decade.

“If you are a true ally of the TDP, have you ever made any comment against Jagan and questioned his corrupt practices?” he asked.

He demanded an explanation from Purandeshwari as to what she would say to the talk that she would contest in Lok Sabha elections on behalf of YSR Congress party.
