It's Not A Win-Win Situation

It's Not A Win-Win Situation

Speaking at the Mahanadu, Chandrababu Naidu asked Telangana not to go ahead unilaterally with their irrigation projects.

He said Telangana had every right to proceed with projects which were conceived in United Andhra Pradesh but fresh projects needed consensus and approval from all stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

And finally, he said that Telangana and Andhra Pradesh could sit down and talk out their grievances over any issue. This is where Chandrababu has got it wrong!

On the face of it, the remarks of the CM seem to be those of a balanced individual. But we don't know whether he really means them or is just playing to the gallery of the intelligentsia.

Fact of the matter is Kiran Kumar Reddy had predicted all these problems prior to bifurcation. KCR ridiculed them but all of Kiran's predictions regarding water wars and farmer suicides are coming true.

Telangana has always been trying to gain at AP's expense. For a State that came into being on the plank of hatred towards the Andhras, there is no possibility of them doing or indulging in anything that will be of benefit to the Andhras or what is just and fair.

The Telanganites are people diametrically opposite to the Andhra way of living and thinking. Hitherto, they have been proved to be unreasonable in their judgement of the Andhras and are today reaping the benefits of years of toil of the Andhras.

Chandrababu Naidu should understand that there cannot be a win-win situation with KCR and his team. He should make Telangana give up the illegal irrigation projects at any cost, by hook or by crook and save the people in Rayalaseema.

During the agitation, we were soft on the Telanganites as we wanted to stay united. There is no such need now! If they don't relish the carrot, we have to force feed them the stick. Period!
