The latest move by the Andhra Pradesh government has extended the new capital pretty close to Hyderabad.
Well, if one drives out of Telangana and enters Kodada in Nalgonda and crosses over the bridge and touches Krishna district, then one enters the new capital of Andhra Pradesh.
Right now, villages in Jaggayyapet mandal have also been included in the capital map. In all, 153 villages have been added and of them, 120 villages fall under Krishna district. On the other hand, 7 villages have been removed from the capital zone.
Also, the government has increased the capital zone by 1250 sq km, which now measures up to 8352 sq km.
However, it is not yet clear as to how this move will help the people in the area as capital zone includes three parts of Krishna district and one part of Guntur.
Since there is no clarity as yet, it might send out wrong signals to people that all inclusions are primarily in keeping with the interests of realty developers in mind...
