I'm not scared of Chandrababu: TDP MP

Controversial Telugu Desam Party MP from Anantapur J C Diwakar Reddy is at it again. On Monday, he triggered uproar in the media once again stating that he was not happy in the post of MP, as there is no respect for the MPs and MLAs in the democratic system.

“There is value only for the Prime Minister and chief ministers. As such, the MPs and MLAs do not carry any weight. They are like curry leaf in a soup. So, what is the point in contesting elections? I cannot become the chief minister in my life. So, next time, I am not going to contest the elections,” JC said.

Interestingly, he did not rule out his son joining the YSR Congress party.

“I have no idea and say in his decisions. But I had joined the TDP only because I did not want Jagan to become the chief minister. I am a Reddy but Jagan is not. He is a Christian,” he said.

Reiterating that Naidu would depend on officials rather than the public representatives, Diwakar Reddy said he was not scared of the party president.

“I gave him my piece of my mind to him. If he doesn’t listen, it is his wish. But that is the character of a leader, who takes independent decisions. Naidu wants to do all the work on his own. That is why no party leader is scared of him,” he said.
