YSRCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has finally responded to the issue of new capital city and has said that he was not against the idea of Vijaywada being made the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
He added that nearly 35,000 acres of land was necessary to develop the new capital and if the government successfully procures the land, then he has no problem with their decision he said.
Jagan also said that the government hasn’t discussed the issue of new capital city during the current budget session.
He clarified that he never made any statements saying that AP will stand to lose if Vijayawada was made the capital city.
However, he was disturbed by the fact that there was no budgetary allocation for the new capital city in the current budget tabled by the ruling party, Jagan said.
