At a time when there has been a negative talk about the latest block buster film Kabali despite achieving record collections, there is a pleasant news for superstar Rajini Kanth.
There is a latest demand from some circles of the Bharatiya Janata Party that Rajini Kanth should be awarded Bharat Ratna for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.
A BJP MLA from Maharashtra Anil Gote raised this issue, recommending to the Devendra Phadnavis government to present Maharashtra Bhushan to Rajini Kanth, since the latter originally belongs to Maharashtra and his actual name is Sivaji Rao Gaekwad.
In the same breath, the MLA also wanted that the Maharashtra Assembly pass a unanimous resolution seeking Bharat Ratna to Rajini Kanth.
He described the superstar as the “son of the soil” of Maharashtra and therefore, he had brought laurels to the state and the nation.
“He is like a god to millions of people and the latest success of Kabali shows how much affection he enjoyed in the people of the country,” he said.
Well, first let him get the Padma Vibhushan and also Dada Saheb Phalke award. Then one can think of Bharat Ratna!
